I was born and raised in nearby Santa Rosa, NM, and have been in private practice in both Albuquerque and my hometown for 4 years now. I studied Biochemistry at the University of New Mexico before
continuing my education and earning my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, TX in August of 2010.
Since a very young age, a more natural approach to health and healing was instilled in me by my family, especially my grandmother who was a well-known curandera or healer for decades in eastern NM. I have always strived to live a drug-free lifestyle and use
natural and spiritual means to tap into my body’s full healing potential.
I highly enjoy teaching my patients about the body’s innate or God-given ability to be self-healing and the importance of living subluxation-free. I was first introduced to chiropractic while dealing with different sports injuries in middle school and high school but it wasn’t until I was exploring healthcare fields while at UNM that I found chiropractic to be my calling.
I have been aware of Illumin8’s mission to change lives and change the culture of healthcare for years now and I am blessed and truly honored to join this team and family in serving the people of our communities in providing quality chiropractic care. My passion is working with families and people of all ages.
My family members (Cassandra, Bentley, and Brendan) are my world and every day I am thankful for what God and chiropractic have given to our lives. I look forward to working with all the patients at Illumin8 and being a leader for positive change in their health and daily lives.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Consultation & Examination
You will have a 1 on 1 visit with the doctor to discuss your health concerns and the reason for your visit. After your initial health consultation, we’ll perform a complete & comprehensive chiropractic exam.
Neurological Studies
A series of neurological studies may be needed to allow us to clearly determine a proper care plan. Nerve studies including surface electromyography (sEMG) and Thermography provide us with an objective diagnostic tool that will show us the symmetry or spasms in your postural muscles, as well as inflammation that causes pain and dysfunction. These assessments help us to assess the quality of your spine and the safety of adjusting you.
Report of Findings
Your report of findings will be scheduled the day after your Initial Consultation. This will allow for your doctor to study your exam findings, at which point we will share the results that we found with you. You may invite anyone in your family to accompany you, if you choose.

Includes a detailed analysis of what you need in order to solve the problem that brought you into our office and what can be done in order to assure that it won’t happen again. We consider your current lifestyle choices, goals for the future and challenges that are standing in your way. This is why our recommendations are extremely comprehensive and have the chance to be the solution that you have been seeking to find.

Our entire staff strives to keep waiting times to a minimum, so we ask that all patients be prompt for their appointments so we can stay on track. Your adjustments will be given by the doctor, then anything else done during that visit will depend on the doctor’s recommendations.
Stretching, posture exercise instruction, sleep coaching, and other advice, will be given as part of the doctor’s plan for you. Questions are not only welcomed, they are encouraged. Knowledge is power.
We also include your customized wellness courses so that you receive long term change and results from our care. The foundation for our overall health is based on proper spinal alignment, nutritious foods, regular exercise, high-quality supplementation, and a variety of stress relief techniques.
